My maternity sessions are flexible and low pressure. I take time to incorporate the various types of images you’re hoping to have as keepsakes from this fleeting stage of life. I have a questionnaire where I get you to dive deep and share the types of things you’re wanting to remember most about this time so that I can make images that encapsulate all of that!

I’m a mum too, I know the feeling of not recognising yourself in the mirror anymore. Of being so self conscious that the very last thing I’d want to do is step in front of a camera. I get it! Truly!!

But here’s the wonderful truth… you are profoundly beautiful! Maybe not in the same way you were years ago, and maybe not in a way that you’re able to recognise right now. But look at the way your little loves gaze at you! In their world, you’re the most stunning and remarkable woman!

You are worthy, just as you are, and you deserve to be in the photos with your babies!

And when you choose to be brave, embracing your beauty even when you may not feel it, you’re gifting your family something truly precious. Those photos, showing you as you are now, are a gift to their future selves. And, hopefully, a gift to you too!

Sometimes it’s in the stepping out with courage that our eyes are unveiled of the years of societal pressures and ingrained standards we measure ourselves by. Sometimes seeing ourselves in photos with people who look at us like we’re radiant help us to see that in fact, we are. 💕

Romanticise your life!

It’s a phrase that’s thrown around a bit in this industry, but what does it mean and is it the right kind of session for you?

To me, it’s about capturing the essence of the very best moments. Not necessarily the huge, life altering moments, but that feeling you get sometimes as a parent that makes your insides swell with joy and love. Those moments where you’re reminded just how incredibly lucky you are to be ‘mama’ to your little people.

Sometimes it can be as simple of the feeling of their marshmallowy skin against yours or the smell of their breath as they sleep, nestled into you, their safest place.

Those are the feelings I want to capture in my work for you. And I know, traipsing across the beach at sunset wearing a long, flowy gown isn’t even close to the everyday for you and your family. And if you want your everyday life documented there are some incredibly talented photographers who do just that and do it beautifully.

But my work is about taking you out of your everyday, doing something different and special and giving yourself this dedicated time to create moments of that overwhelming love. To give you the time and space where you get to feel like your life is a movie. And to have photos that can remind you of those feelings for years to come.
